Choose the correct board and install firmware supplied by Weryt. Connect your board to a Windows computer with a USB data cable and follow the prompts. You do not need to install Arduino IDE.

1
Connect the boardUse a USB data cable. A charge-only cable will not work.
2
Choose the exact boardDo not install ESP8266 firmware on an ESP32 or Arduino board.
3
Click Connect & InstallChoose the serial port and keep the board connected until it finishes.

Firmware installation becomes active once Weryt publishes tested firmware builds.

ESP8266

Wi-Fi Car / NodeMCU

Install Weryt's tested firmware for an ESP8266-based car. The firmware binary and manifest must match your exact board and wiring.

Use a compatible desktop Chrome or Edge browser with Web Serial support. Open this site through HTTPS (or localhost for development) to connect to USB. Download starter .ino code
Installer is not live until the placeholder manifest is replaced with tested firmware.
ESP8266

ESP8266 / NodeMCU

For other ESP8266 projects. Use only the firmware supplied for the specific Weryt kit.

Use a compatible desktop Chrome or Edge browser. HTTPS or localhost is required for USB access.
Firmware manifest needs a real, tested binary before use.
ESP32

ESP32 projects

Browser-based flashing for compatible ESP32 boards and precompiled firmware.

Use a compatible desktop Chrome or Edge browser. HTTPS or localhost is required for USB access.
Manifest must point to a correctly merged ESP32 firmware binary.
Arduino AVR

Arduino UNO / Nano

Classic UNO/Nano boards require a separate AVR-compatible uploader. They cannot be flashed by the ESP installer shown above.

We'll implement this separately after confirming exact board and bootloader variants.
Safety and compatibilityFlashing replaces the current program and may erase settings. Use the correct firmware for your exact board. Disconnect motors and external motor power while programming where practical; reconnect power only after checking wiring. Never power motors from the ESP8266's 3.3 V pin.
